He highlighted the rejection of war and double standards in international affairs. President Prabowo also reminded fellow BRICS leaders of the significance of the “Bandung Spirit,” which promotes solidarity among developing nations, established during the 1955 Asian-African Conference in Bandung, Indonesia. Indonesia’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Arrmanatha Nasir, confirmed that the reference to Bandung was well received by the summit’s host country, Brazil. President Prabowo’s invocation of the Bandung Spirit was warmly welcomed, and Brazil expressed hope for BRICS to revive the Bandung legacy to further advance the interests of developing nations.
