Jakarta – Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka have been officially elected as president and vice president, after the General Election Commission (KPU) of RI announced the results of the vote recapitulation on Wednesday (20/3) night. Prabowo expressed his gratitude to the people who exercised their right to vote in the 2024 election.
“We want to express our highest thanks and appreciation to those who have exercised their right to vote in the 2024 election,” he said at a press conference at Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/3).
Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the KPU and the Honorable Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) for the smooth implementation of the 2024 election, as well as to the TNI and Polri who ensured that this year’s democratic celebration proceeded in an orderly and safe manner.
“On February 14, 2024, we experienced the smooth implementation of the election. On behalf of Prabowo-Gibran and the Coalition of Indonesia Maju, thank you to the KPU, DKPP, and great appreciation to the TNI-Polri for making the 2024 election very orderly, safe, and cool,” he said.
Prabowo then thanked the Coalition of Indonesia Maju (KIM) that supported him, especially the chairpersons and all members of political parties within it. In addition, Prabowo also thanked the National Campaign Team (TKN) and the supporting volunteers.
“We express our thanks and appreciation to all chairpersons and members of all parties in KIM, then TKN, volunteers, mothers who are present here (at the residence of Kertanegara IV),” said Prabowo.
Prabowo invited all Indonesians to unite in bringing the country towards prosperity and justice. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the spirit of nationalism amidst differences.
“We invite all Indonesians to look forward, unite, hold hands together. We must be harmonious, cooperate to bring Indonesia towards prosperity and justice,” said Prabowo.
“We must strengthen the spirit of nationalism, if there are differences among us, that is good. We respect differences. The election is over, all the people’s choices must be respected,” he continued.
Finally, he emphasized that Prabowo-Gibran will work as hard as possible for all the people of Indonesia. Prabowo said, they will prove this mandate by being leaders who truly serve the people.
“We have been chosen by the people, the people’s mandate is in our hands, Prabowo-Gibran will be the president and vice president of the government for all the people of Indonesia. For those who did not choose us, give us a chance. We will prove to be the president and vice president who will work as hard as possible for all the people of Indonesia,” he concluded. (SENOPATI)
