Various ongoing crises in different regions such as Ukraine, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria, along with escalating tensions between Israel and Iran and India and Pakistan, were highlighted. Additionally, the unresolved political crisis in Myanmar and rising tensions between Cambodia and Thailand were also mentioned.
President Prabowo expressed confidence in Indonesia’s ability to navigate these challenges, attributing it to the strength and cohesion of the government’s economic team. He commended the team for their collaboration and emphasized the importance of working together. Indonesia’s negotiation-focused approach in protecting national interests amidst global turbulence was underscored, with an emphasis on staying calm, pragmatic, and non-reactive. The government’s duty to protect its people and achieve the best outcome possible under current conditions was reiterated.
