During his speech at the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress, Prabowo commended the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) for making history by leading the military parade during France’s Bastille Day on July 14, 2025. It marked a significant moment as Indonesia took a prominent role in a European national celebration for the first time.
Prabowo expressed his delight at the opportunity given to Indonesian troops to lead the military parade on France’s national day. He emphasized the honor bestowed upon Indonesia by a foreign nation to lead the parade at the forefront, highlighting the significance of the event. The president also lauded the discipline and performance of the Indonesian troops during the Bastille Day parade, expressing his pride as a former soldier in their exemplary march.
The success and positive reception of the Indonesian troops’ participation in the Bastille Day parade have led to numerous requests from other countries for Indonesia to be part of their national day celebrations. Prabowo mentioned that countries like India, France, and Pakistan have expressed interest in having Indonesian representation at their national day events.
