Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed their shared concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as a result of the Israeli military offensive. This concern was brought up during the recent official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) during President Prabowo’s visit to the Kingdom. Both countries have agreed to enhance coordination to provide emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
The joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) underscored the commitment of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to continue extending humanitarian aid and support for recovery efforts in light of the Israeli aggression. Beyond discussing the situation in Gaza, both nations also underscored their joint commitment to strengthen cooperation in upholding international stability and security. They pledged to collaborate in advancing regional peace and bolstering global resilience.
The meeting took place at Al-Salam Palace in a cordial atmosphere, underscoring the solid strategic bond between the two countries. Images shared by SPA depicted President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engrossed in discussions, with the flags of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia displayed in the background.
